Local Nurseries to Support

If you are looking to buy seeds, seedlings, or gardening supplies, consider supporting one of these local businesses. Why support local nurseries over big chains like Home Depot?

  1. You will be supporting your local economy.

  2. Their knowledgable staff are invested in gardening are are happy to help you out.

  3. No foreign pests. Big retailers often have their plants shipped in from undisclosed places, and it is all too easy for foreign pests to be transferred through this process. Local nurseries prioritize local and native plants that are far less likely for foreign pests to be transmitted through, ensuring that they will not introduce diseases into your garden.

This is not a comprehensive list, just some nurseries that I've visited and recommend. If you have any small businesses that you would like added to this list, please contact me!
